My passion for art
Illustration is much more than just an activity for me. It’s a true outlet, an open door to expression and creativity. Every stroke of the pencil or brush sets me free, allowing me to capture the essence of my thoughts and emotions. Like the melody of music, visual art is an integral part of my everyday life, an endless source of joy and wonder.
Artistic style
My illustration style stands out with a palette of vibrant and dynamic colors. I enjoy playing with bright hues and striking contrasts. My work is distinguished by the addition of raw touches, sometimes imperfect strokes that bring a unique authenticity and depth to my creations. It’s this combination of vivid colors and these raw details that characterizes my illustrations and gives them their distinct touch.
Professional background
Although I didn’t follow a traditional art curriculum, my path led me to pursue web design training at a digital school. This diversity of skills has allowed me to approach illustration from a unique perspective, merging the principles of design and artistic creativity.
Influences
My sources of inspiration are rooted in my daily life, but especially in my deep desire to highlight the beauty and diversity of black women. Every experience, every interaction, and every encounter contribute to nurturing my creativity. I also draw inspiration from the colors and contrasts of my environment, skillfully integrating them into my illustrations to create authentic and emotional representations.
Shop's philosophy
My illustration studio focuses primarily on representing and celebrating the inner and outer beauty of black women. In line with an artistic tradition that often glorifies divine figures, I focus on the everyday beauty, strength, femininity, and grace of ordinary black women. My ambition is to transcend mere representation to reveal the depth and richness of each subject, highlighting their essence through colorful and authentic illustrations.
Services I offer
My shop exclusively offers prints. However, in addition to art, I also provide web design services, another facet of my passion for visual creation.
Creative process
My ideas often arise spontaneously, sometimes during unexpected moments. I quickly capture these moments of inspiration by jotting them down on my phone, and then I shape and develop them on Clip Studio Paint. This process allows me to capture the emotion and spontaneity of my thoughts while bringing them to life through my colorful and authentic illustrations.
